The game will now release on 25th February A large amount of the Two Worlds 2 stock was "wrecked" on it's UK-bound journey from China.
The game's publisher, TopWare, earlier revealed the delay to Eurogamer, who just yesterday reported that the game had been delayed from 4th to the 18th February.
The game was originally set for an Autumn 2010 release, but was pushed back by then-publisher SouthPeak to 25th January in order to avoid the packed autumn release schedule. The game was then subsequently delayed until 4th February.
TopWare managing director James Seaman told Eurogamer:
"We just received the container from China with the Collector's Edition and other components and they are wrecked,"
"Several components were just a total wreck and unacceptable for us to give out to our fans."
"We are printing some of these in Europe now and the boxes are being air freighted from China."
"Officially, launch is the 25th, and this is final."
"I cannot believe this but it is really happening"
Two Worlds 2's slippery release date is unfortunate, but if the game's critical reception is anything to go by, it is certainly worth the wait .
